EASTER CRAFT WORKSHOPS

Things really came to life here before Easter! We decorated eggs down to the very last detail, gave our bunnies a fresh new look, and created other spring decorations that children made together with their parents.

It was a cheerful time – full of colors, lively conversations, and the joy of creating.

The result? Lovingly made Easter decorations.

ERASMUS VISIT AT OUR KINDERGARTEN

We were delighted to welcome colleagues from the Czech Republic to our kindergarten as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

During their two-day visit, they had the opportunity to explore our environment, observe how we work, and see our approach to education in practice.

We prepared open lessons focused on:
📖 early literacy development
💻 meaningful use of technology
🔬 STEAM education
🌍 development of a bilingual environment

It wasn’t just about presentations, but about sharing real experience that can be applied in everyday practice.

Thank you for your visit and the inspiring discussions.

⛸️ OUR GIRAFFES ON THE ICE

All three of our Giraffe classes took part in an ice skating course at Pupava Ice Arena.

Each preschool class completed its own week-long course, during which the children gradually gained confidence on the ice.

Thanks to the great coaches, even complete beginners became confident little skaters. 👏

At the end, everyone received a well-deserved diploma. 🏅

Today, our kindergarten welcomed parents to a special event where the children presented their activities from the FIRST LEGO League – FLL tournament. 👧👦🧩

They are part of the youngest age category, and this year’s theme was archaeology. The children proudly showed what they have learned during educational activities, how they work with LEGO sets, and how they solve tasks inspired by FLL – a competition that supports creativity, teamwork, and playful discovery. 🏺🔍

A big thank you to all the parents for joining us, for your support, and for creating such a positive atmosphere.
We are very proud of our children! ❤️

How the Little Apple Traveled in Our Kindergarten

In our kindergarten, the children had the opportunity to enjoy an engaging presentation called “How the Little Apple Traveled”, prepared by an employee of Plantex – our supplier of the School Fruit Program funded by the EU. The children tried cleaning apples, explored different varieties, watched an educational video, and learned how an apple grows on a tree, from a small blossom all the way to delicious fruit. It was a wonderful and fun experience full of discovery, scents, and flavors.

St. Nicholas at Kindergarten

We were honoured by a visit of St. Nicholas and his angel at our kindergarten. As every year, he brought packages full of healthy treats to children. Our children truly deserve it because they are not only good but also very well-behaved. St. Nicholas happily listened to the beautiful poems and songs that the children had prepared for him.

We thank St. Nicholas and the angel for their visit and we are looking forward to see them again!

Water – A Source of Life and Play

This week, our children have dived into the fascinating world of water. They are exploring its many forms – from rain and lakes to the sea and even snow. We play, experiment, paint drops and waves, and learn why water is so essential for life.

Together, we discovered the water cycle and talked about ways we can help protect this precious resource.

Learning can be so much fun!

A WEEK FULL OF STORIES AND JOURNEYS

This week at our kindergarten, we set off “on a journey” – with a book in hand and imagination in our minds. The children became little travelers, discovering the world through stories.

Together, we “traveled” through the classroom and the school yard, tried out different means of transport – even paper ones – and explored countries, animals, and nature. It is proved that every day brought a new adventure with a book. You can travel anywhere.

Thank to all the children for their enthusiasm – and here are a few snapshots from our adventurous week

A Week Filled with Plants and Imagination

We spent beautiful moments exploring the theme “A Book Where Plants Grow” during this week.

The children planted seeds with their own hands and observed how they sprouted — both in the classroom and outside.

Our art workshops were filled with flowers, herbs, and fruit, and our storytime was all about nature, growth, and caring for all living things.

Take a look at how much the children enjoyed this green week.

Off We Go on a Summer Adventure

During the first week of the holidays, the children are enjoying heartwarming summer stories about the sea, boats, and pirates – inspired by books like Pippi Longstocking Goes Aboard, When I Become a Captain, and Tappi’s Journey Across the Shimmering Seas.

Together, we pretend to be sailors, make telescopes, draw treasure maps, and create sunny, seaside-themed artwork. The children are enjoying peaceful, playful days filled with games, friendships, and the magic of summer imagination.
