Father´s day

We celebrated Father's Day dynamically and playfully. The role of fathers who are actively involved in their children's lives has a huge benefit in raising children. The quality of time together that we give to our children is precious and helps build an exceptional bond between the parent and the child. The time spent together was refreshing, full of joy and laughter. We all enjoyed it. “One person can't change the whole world but you can change the whole world of one person”

🏡 OPEN DAY AT OUR KINDERGARTEN ✨

Our Open Day was combined with kindergarten enrolment, giving parents and children the opportunity to explore our kindergarten, meet our teachers, and experience the atmosphere of everyday life in our school. 😊

Parents had the opportunity to meet the headteacher, talk with our teachers, and speak with the school psychologist. 💬

Thank you to everyone who came to visit us. 💛

🌍 EARTH DAY IN OUR KINDERGARTEN 💚

We celebrated Earth Day in our kindergarten through a variety of activities in each classroom. In a playful and engaging way, the children talked about nature, the environment, and why it is important to take care of our planet. 🌱

Together, we practiced waste sorting, strengthened our knowledge about the Earth and environmental protection through ICT technologies 💻♻️, and also sang a song focused on environmental education, which made the whole day even more enjoyable. 🎶🌎

Even small steps taken by children can lead to big changes. 💚

WHERE A LOVE FOR READING BEGINS

At the invitation of PaedDr. Adely Melišekovej Dojčanovej, PhD., we took part in a lecture at the Pedagogical Faculty of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, where we opened the topic of early literacy.

We showed students how our BODKA reading room works – a space where children naturally step into the world of books. We talked about how reading shapes their thinking, imagination, and relationship to learning.

We also focused on how we work with books in kindergarten:

children create their own books

we connect reading with creativity and play

we integrate LEGO and the STEAM approach

We presented specific books we use even with our youngest children, and concluded with an open discussion with the students.

BODKA celebrated its first year

Our reading room BODKA celebrated its first year today. During this time, it has become a place where children discover stories, flip through books, and let their imagination come alive.

We celebrated the birthday just as a library should – with shared reading, pleasant conversations, and time spent among books.

We were also delighted by our guests, who brought new books for BODKA’s shelves. Thanks to them, our library will be able to bring even more stories, adventures, and moments that draw children into the world of imagination.

We believe BODKA will continue to be a place where children discover the magic of reading, grow together with stories, and where the rustle of pages and children’s curiosity will always be heard.

Happy Birthday, BODKA – may many more wonderful chapters lie ahead!

EASTER CRAFT WORKSHOPS

Things really came to life here before Easter! We decorated eggs down to the very last detail, gave our bunnies a fresh new look, and created other spring decorations that children made together with their parents.

It was a cheerful time – full of colors, lively conversations, and the joy of creating.

The result? Lovingly made Easter decorations.

Library visit

We visited the library at Gorkého Elementary School – Tulipán branch 📚. The librarian introduced us to the library spaces and showed us many interesting books that the children could browse and explore. There was also a lovely story about how to properly treat books 💛.

All classes from our kindergarten visited the library one by one, and the children took away a beautiful experience full of stories and new discoveries.

ERASMUS VISIT AT OUR KINDERGARTEN

We were delighted to welcome colleagues from the Czech Republic to our kindergarten as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

During their two-day visit, they had the opportunity to explore our environment, observe how we work, and see our approach to education in practice.

We prepared open lessons focused on:
📖 early literacy development
💻 meaningful use of technology
🔬 STEAM education
🌍 development of a bilingual environment

It wasn’t just about presentations, but about sharing real experience that can be applied in everyday practice.

Thank you for your visit and the inspiring discussions.

⛸️ OUR GIRAFFES ON THE ICE

All three of our Giraffe classes took part in an ice skating course at Pupava Ice Arena.

Each preschool class completed its own week-long course, during which the children gradually gained confidence on the ice.

Thanks to the great coaches, even complete beginners became confident little skaters. 👏

At the end, everyone received a well-deserved diploma. 🏅

✨ Exploring the World of Archaeology Together! ✨

Today, our kindergarten welcomed parents to a special event where the children presented their activities from the FIRST LEGO League – FLL tournament. 👧👦🧩

They are part of the youngest age category, and this year’s theme was archaeology. The children proudly showed what they have learned during educational activities, how they work with LEGO sets, and how they solve tasks inspired by FLL – a competition that supports creativity, teamwork, and playful discovery. 🏺🔍

A big thank you to all the parents for joining us, for your support, and for creating such a positive atmosphere.
We are very proud of our children! ❤️

WINTER FUN AND ICE EXPERIMENTS

We enjoyed many fun winter moments!

The children had a great time playing outside in the snow. They built snowmen, made snowy paths, and enjoyed winter games.

In the classroom, we tried interesting “ice” experiments , where the children observed how ice behaves and what it can do.

How the Little Apple Traveled in Our Kindergarten

In our kindergarten, the children had the opportunity to enjoy an engaging presentation called “How the Little Apple Traveled”, prepared by an employee of Plantex – our supplier of the School Fruit Program funded by the EU. The children tried cleaning apples, explored different varieties, watched an educational video, and learned how an apple grows on a tree, from a small blossom all the way to delicious fruit. It was a wonderful and fun experience full of discovery, scents, and flavors.

St. Nicholas at Kindergarten

We were honoured by a visit of St. Nicholas and his angel at our kindergarten. As every year, he brought packages full of healthy treats to children. Our children truly deserve it because they are not only good but also very well-behaved. St. Nicholas happily listened to the beautiful poems and songs that the children had prepared for him.

We thank St. Nicholas and the angel for their visit and we are looking forward to see them again!
