Admission criteria for BESST Private Kindergarten

Children are generally admitted to pre-primary education between the ages of two and six.

A condition for accepting a 2-year-old child is the ability to manage basic self-care skills, especially using the toilet (no diapers), eating independently with a spoon and being weaned off a pacifier well in advance. We are also interested in whether the child can express his/her needs.

Compulsory pre-primary education applies to children who reach the age of six during the given school year. The child will complete compulsory pre-primary education in the form of regular attendance at kindergarten on working days for at least 4 hours a day.

Priority will be given to:

1. children for whom completion of pre-primary education is compulsory and children who will continue to complete pre-primary education

2. children who turned at least 2 years at the time of admission and have a sibling attending the BESST schools

3. other children

Admission of children during the school year depends on the capacity of the kindergarten.

Enrolment Process for the 2026/27 School Year:

1. Application Submission

For the 2026/2027 school year applications must be submitted electronically via the portal eprihlasky.iedu.sk between May 1st and May 31st, 2026. We recommend you to submit the application online before the enrolment days, where we also will review the application and complete it together if necessary.

2. Enrolment Dates

Enrolment will be on May 12th and 13th, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with the child’s personal attendance required. We also organize Open Days for you at the same time.

3. Documents Required for Enrolment

Please bring the legal representative’s ID card and the child’s birth certificate (original or copy).

If you are interested in transferring your child from another kindergarten in Slovakia or from abroad, please contact the headteacher who will provide information about the transfer application. You may inform the headteacher about your interest in the enrolment in advance, she will add you to the database of the applicants.
